ABOUT KAPA CELTICS
Kapa Celtics FC is a football club and development academy based in the Cape Flats in Cape Town, South Africa. This is an area home to 90% of the city’s population and a breeding ground for young talent. With its home ground located in Nyanga, the club attracts talented and aspiring footballers from all over Cape Town.
The club was founded in 2022 by Dumisa Ngqoyiyana. He decided to institute the project after recognizing the area’s massive potential and infinite talent – which demanded an ambitious, socially responsible club with a clear vision for attracting and nurturing talent within the community.
Presently, the club provide 64 adolescents in the Cape Flalts with a top-quality football education and strives to become a leading source of talent in South Africa – and a leading football club on the continent.
As a club, the social impact is key to their success with our overall mission to inspire the youth of South Africa’s townships to dream beyond their limits and use their innate abilities and creativity to break the cycle of poverty for future generations.
