The Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) have partnered with SAYTV to create a market leading live chat app for cricket lovers to discuss the Hero CPL and the other cricketing events around the world all year-round.
Although fans can use the app to chat with other users at any time, the first feature event that took place in the app was a Q&A session with cricket legend and Hero CPL’s Director, International Cricket, Tom Moody. He joined the CPL chat app to talk about the India vs New Zealand Test series, the Big Bash T20 tournament in Australia and the Abu Dhabi T10 on the 5 December 2021 during the Big Bash match between Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Stars which gets underway at 8:15am GMT.
SAYTV was launched into the German market in March 2021 with the intention of making an all-in-one social chat platform for everything TV related while ensuring an inclusive and friendly chat community welcoming everyone. Since then, the company has begun entering partnerships to create state-of-the-art live chat and entertainment technology for their clients.

The CPL and 6TY in 2022
The CPL is a T20 cricket tournament that took place from 31/8/2022 until 30/9/2022 around the Caribbean. In the week before the CPL, The 6IXTY a new T10 cricket format was introduced. The 6IXTY is especially exciting due to its speed and the high level of fan involvement through the so-called SkyEXCH Mystery Fan Ball. Fans are able to vote between four randomly chosen deliveries for each game in the CPL 6TY Chat App powered by SAYTV. The result will be kept secret until the umpire signals that the Mystery Fan Ball will take place.

The Caribbean-based company Republic Bank is known for being at the forefront of technological advancement. Being part of an online experience for cricket fans around the world which brings them closer to the sport therefore simply made sense for them. Similarly, for RARIO, the world’s first cricket NFT platform bridging the gap between a physical and a digital experience is at the core of their DNA. Fans were able to interact with various content formats created together with both companies like the Republic Bank Classic Catch or the RARIO player of the match.

24.000 downloads, 133.000 messages and 150.000 – the CPL 6TY Chat App was clearly at the heart of the CPL tournament in 2022 and it quickly became an important tool for cricket lovers to connect and engage with each other during all of the matches.
